The Big Climate Chill (Sydney)

We will come together with people around the world to sit in stillness and meditation for one hour in the name of climate action.

Anyone is welcome to join at this connecting, empowering, and regenerative event. We’ll envision a positive future for the world and all its living things!

The Climate Emergency is an existential threat, but we are uniting to confront this crisis and shape our future.

Stillness, contemplation and meditation have been undervalued by our fast paced society that created the Climate Emergency. However, there is value in stillness because it [makes us feel something about positivity, empowerment, understanding].

Come and join us at 10:30am on December 7th in Hyde Park. You are invited to sit with us in either contemplation, your own meditation practice, or read a hopeful book or article.

Afterwards join us for a fun and social picnic. We will have a Yarn Circle, a space to open up dialogue between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. We will also have performances from the Extinction Rebellion choir as well as face painting, crafts, and hula hooping.

We hope you can make it!
