Join Extinction Rebellion for a Bee themed Die-In in Hyde Park.
We’ll highlight the link between the Climate and Ecological Emergency and the bees we rely upon to pollinate our crops.
Bees are important because they pollinate our crops and are crucial to our food production and food security.
But the Climate Emergency, with its associated hotter and drier conditions and extreme weather events – is putting pressure on our pollinators and the beekeepers that look after them.
This pressure will in turn impact people’s ability to reliably produce enough food. The threat is real and can no longer be ignored.
If the bees die, we die. But it’s not too late, and by staging this action, we’ll communicate to the world the necessity of making change now!
Everyone is welcome and invited to attend – come dressed as your favourite pollinator. If perchance you are a beekeeper wanting to show support, bring your beekeeping suit.
Stay tuned for announcements of a schedule, a list of speakers and how you can participate!
