It’s time that GHD built a better future, not Adani’s railway.
Our collective pressure demanding that GHD cuts its ties with Adani has forced the engineering company to put a statement out on their work with the Adani Carmichael Coal Mine project.
However, it is still not clear where GHD stands on working on the rail line and dewatering projects that will contribute to environmental and social devastation.
GHD’s current obligations end in December 2019.
How can we trust that GHD’s relationship with Adani will end when they state that they “will assess any future opportunities to work with Adani’s Australian businesses”.
GHD need to listen to the thousands of strikers, unions and wider community members who all have ideas and plans for a better, cleaner future.
This action is calling upon the community to assemble at the GHD head office on September 30th and show GHD what the future looks like without fossil fuels.
We will be demanding that GHD commits to:
1. Act its own sustainability principles and its commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
2. No new deals with Adani
3. No new fossil fuel projects from now
4. Create a transition plan for its clients to move away from fossil fuel
We want to show GHD what we believe the future looks like, and need your help!
