Protest for Amazon Rain Forrest (Melbourne)

Hi everyone!!

Political differences aside, we know that the biggest problem of our time is the degradation of the environment. As a Brazilian, I am very saddened by the burning that is taking place in the Amazon rainforest and I imagine you are too.

The Amazon rainforest has been on fire for 16 days but for some reason, this has not been making global headlines. In northern Brazil, a group of people set fire to different areas of The Amazon rainforest in which was called a “day of fire”, to deforest land to set up cattle farming. The earths lung which produces more than 20% of the worlds oxygen, more than half of the worlds 10 million plants, animals and insects all for what?! MONEY!!

The idea is to go on a peaceful and silent walk to draw the attention of the international media (in our case, we would contribute by drawing Australia’s attention) to what is happening in Brazil. We need to STOP WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE AMAZON IMMEDIATELY. Who’s in?
