No to mining in Latin America! (IMARC, Melbourne)

No to Intentionally Murdering Animals, Rivers and Communities, IMARC!

On Thursday night of blockade IMARC the Australian-Latin America Business (ALABC) are having a networking dinner, where ‘key decision-makers’ will talk about how to tear up the earth and displace communities all through Latin America.

ALABC dinner: https://imarcmelbourne.com/alabc-annual-dinner/

This dinner is an insult to the Latin American people fighting for survival. The first nations and people in Latin America oppose extractivism, it is destroying the planet and our communities.

There will be dancing, singing, performances from around Latin America. Come along and join the resistance party!

We (The Latin American Solidarity Network (LASNET) and great friends) are calling you to come together and stand to protect our life, save our ecosystems and conserve our environment for present and future generations, by saying NO to large-scale mining projects. We are calling for a peaceful demonstration in solidarity with grassroots organisations and first nations in Latin America, is the time to join the word actions in defence of the planet and our communities

We will not accept our rivers being contaminated, our animal habitats being destroyed and people living in fear of losing their homes. That is why we are inviting you to stand together and keep unified for one common objective: respect humankind, respect nature, respect life.

We know it is not an easy task, but it is not impossible. We need you, we need to be united to make it possible. To promote change, this time, by protesting against large- scale mining at the Australian’s largest mining conference International Mining and Resources Conference – IMARC on October 28 -31. During those days, we will be letting them know that we become one to defend our home!

We were waiting for you to take this step together!
