The energy companies that produce 20% of the world’s greenhouse gases are in town for the IMARC conference. The heads of many of these companies will be dining at the Palladium at Crown Casino.
To coincide with this event we will be holding our own mock dinner. We have prepared a menu for this special meal and a squad of sandwich board wearers will promote the ‘menu’. They will also display messages about the devastating effect mining has on the environment and indigenous people. Other participants are invited to hand out the menus to inform the public about the ‘business as usual’ consequences of land clearing, fracking, drilling, digging, and extracting.
Please join this action and spread the facts. Outreach helpers and sandwich board wearers needed. Come in your best gala dress ups if you like!
