SAVE GANDOLFO GARDENS!
In light of the Level Crossing Removal Authority’s stated plans to remove almost all of the trees in Moreland’s Gandolfo Gardens and surrounds, the Guardians of Gandolfo Gardens have announced a Memorial Service for the 113 perfectly healthy, heritage-listed, majestic trees slated to vanish from our lives in 2020 or earlier. All community members and interested parties affected by this disturbing and distressing impending loss are invited to attend. BYO chairs and appropriate ‘mourning’ attire.
Let’s show these cowboys that the citizens of Moreland and the World do not appreciate the proposed senseless destruction of our heritage, our environment, our amenity and OUR TREES. Those trees were planted by the community and many are 80 – 100 years old. Hands off! Build your station on the gigantic, empty wasteland on the other side of Moreland Road and start respecting the planet!
