To everyone who cares about a safe climate future, this is your open invite to join our Darwin School Strike 4 Climate on September 20 – students standing up when our politicians won’t.
Australia is in the thick of the climate crisis, and yet our politicians support massively increased carbon emissions from fossil fuel projects like fracking the Barkly Tablelands.
On September 20, school students are walking out of school to tell our politicians to take us seriously and start treating climate change for what it is: a crisis and the biggest threat to our generation and generations to come.
EVERYONE IS INVITED. Tens of thousands of students across Australia and around the world will join us. This is a family-friendly all-ages event and safe space. Adults and parents are welcome to take the day off and join us in solidarity.
Darwin Climate Strikers call for the NTG to:
1. Declare a climate emergency
2. 100% renewable energy by 2030
3. Ban fracking in the NT
