At this action, we will come together to ask the leaders of our nation to get their heads OUT of the sand on the climate and ecological crisis. We demand that they tell the truth about the crisis and address it by taking urgent action based on science.
We will be kneeling on the beach and putting our heads “in the sand” [safely] to dramatize our demands. If possible come in business attire and bring a briefcase. Please bring sun protection and water. People of all ages including children are welcome. All are welcome to stay on for a BYO picnic after the action.
Meet at 9:30am from a briefing at Jimmy Melrose Park. This is the grassed area between the Stamford Grand Hotel and Glenelg Beach (adjacent to the jetty). We will then move south of jetty for the action.
