Come for a bike ride through South Bank and the CBD to demand action on climate change. Deck your bike out in colours, flags and banners and join us at Kurilpa Bridge Park Friday morning the 27th at 7.30 to slow down business as usual with a slow ride through the city.
You may have noticed an increase in traffic delays in the Brisbane CBD lately, which is due a total lack of leadership from our politicians on the climate front. That is why Extinction Rebellion have taken to the streets to disrupt the business as usual which is killing our planet.
The good news is that riding your bike is a great way to avoid any possible traffic disruptions which are set to increase as the impacts of climate change escalate and our politicians refuse to take the necessary action required.
Also apparently cycling is better for the environment then driving a car? Who knew!? What a perfect way to shift our trajectory away from extinction.
Plus its a great way to meet others who are joining the fight for a liveable planet for us and all species we share our home with. End the day with a traditional post ride brunch and cuppa in Kurilpa Park.
