Christmas is a season for giving, being with loved ones, caring for one another, including those who are most vulnerable. For Christians it is also a time for remembering the birth of Christ who came to live among us and show us what God’s Love is like.
As unprecedented fires burn in the land we call Australia, it is time to remember vulnerable communities, wildlife and precious ecosystems affected by natural disasters, made catastrophic by human-induced global heating. Indeed, loving our neighbour in a warming world means more than just thoughts and prayers.
