Blockade The ‘Future Of Mining’ Conference (Sydney)

In March 2020, climate criminals will descend on Sydney to plan the ‘Future of Mining’ amidst the expansion of fossil fuel projects across Australia. While the country burns, firefighters die, a billion animals perish and hazardous smoke poisons millions, these fossil fuel executives and their financiers want to gather to continue to profit of the destruction of the planet.
It’s time to blockade the climate criminals to shut down the future of coal mining and all fossil fuels. Join hundreds of climate protesters as we link up to blockade the Minerals Council, BHP, Honeywell, MMD executives & World Bank financiers who are meeting at the Sofitel Sydney to wine and dine at an exclusive conference.
According to Future of Mining organisers:
“Organised in conjunction with Australia’s Mining Monthly, it brings together over 400 senior mining industry executives and attendees can expect a top class event experience over the two days.”
Let’s give these fossil fuel corporates hell. We demand the fossil fuel companies pay compensation and to rebuild the homes of the victims the bushfire crisis. We demand an immediate transition to renewable energy & exports with a jobs guarantee to all workers from the affected industries.
The mining billionaires have trashed the planet, torn up Indigenous native title and have pocketed $29B in subsidies last year alone. Let’s blockade the future of mining & demand reparations for its past.
This blockade and protest will take place on stolen Aboriginal land, the land of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation. Sovereignty was never ceded. Land rights, not mining rights.
