Australia is coming last on the climate policy ladder – clearly our politicians have dropped the ball.
Melbourne is going to be one of the worst hit major cities in the world, as climate change looks set to push our precarious water supply to depletion:
Similarly, increasingly devastating bushfire seasons looks set to degrade air quality to noxious levels both on, and off the field.
Do we really want our future generations to have to wear gas-masks to footy training?
It’s decision time, Melbourne. It’s up to us to turn this around.
MOVE IT, OR LOSE IT.

There’ll be headbands, sports bibs, spandex probably, zinc-sticks, warm-ups, ball-tampering, activewear, cardboard cut-outs of the original cast of Jane Fonda’s Workout, and a guest appearance from Rocky Balboa’s original personal trainer; all discombobulated by dramatic pre-enactments of the adverse health effects we are likely to face in catastrophic climate change – gas masks, Ventolin inhaler saxophones, comedically oversized tubes of Deep Heat, umpires in HAZMAT suits, zombie-virus affected lawn-bowlers, blood-spattered physiotherapists, etc.
We are inviting everyone to field a team: pick a sport, devise a team costume, and represent for your XR Local Group!
