Morrison is a climate criminal. As the bushfires leave people dead, homes lost, people choked on smoke, and millions of animals burned, he STILL refuses to act on the cause of the fires. He’ll defend the fossil fuel companies ’till his last breath.
– Morrison must resign in disgrace or be SACKED.
– The cost of the recovery from these fires, the compensation for victims, and the healthcare that will inevitably be needed for the millions who have spent MONTHS breathing in toxic smoke, should be paid for by the fossil fuel companies who caused this catastrophe.
– We need an immediate transition away from fossil fuels.
We acknowledge this protest will be taking place on stolen Aboriginal land, that sovereignty was never ceded, and that these kinds of bushfire disasters of this scale and severity never occurred when the land was managed properly by Aboriginal people! The climate crisis and the theft of land go hand in hand, and the climate crisis makes it clearer than ever – we demand an end to the continuing theft and exploitation of Aboriginal land, the foundation of the profits of mining companies, and demand sovereignty.
