There will be a public rally outside Parliament house to protest the Hodgman government’s draconian anti-protest laws.
“Everyone will be welcome to come and defend Tasmania’s democratic ideals and right to protest. In some ways these laws are worse than those struck down by the High Court in 2017,” Bob Brown said.
Penalties up to 21 years in jail for opposing Will Hodgman’s view of exploiting Tasmania’s natural resources have no place in a peaceful democracy.
